Our Lord’s day meeting has two portions:
The Lord’s Table
Every Lord’s day, we gather to break bread and remember the Lord. We worship the Lord with hymns and prayers. We call this the Lord’s table, based on 1 Corinthians 10:21.
And having given thanks, He broke it and said, This is My body, which is given for you; this do unto the remembrance of Me. Similarly also the cup after they had dined, saying, This cup is the new covenant established in My blood; this do, as often as you drink it, unto the remembrance of Me.
1 Corinthians 11:24-25
And day by day, continuing steadfastly with one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house, they partook of their food with exultation and simplicity of heart, praising God and having grace with all the people…
Acts 2:46-47
Prophesying
In addition, we practice mutual teaching and fellowship, so that we may learn and be encouraged. The New Testament refers to this as prophesying, which builds up the church (1 Corinthians 14). To facilitate our speaking to one another, we follow a devotional that takes us through different topics or books of the Bible.
What then, brothers? Whenever you come together, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.
1 Corinthians 14:26
But if all prophesy and some unbeliever or unlearned person enters, he is convicted by all, he is examined by all… For you can all prophesy one by one that all may learn and all may be encouraged.
1 Corinthians 14:24,31
…he who prophesies builds up the church.
1 Corinthians 14:4
We welcome you to join us in our fellowship!
